Shane E. Macaulay, M.D.
Shane E. Macaulay, M.D. is a medical director and a musculoskeletal and body radiologist for Radiology Consultants of Washington, which serves five of our eight Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) outpatient centers in the Puget Sound area. He has held appointments as a clinical associate faculty and as an acting instructor at the University of Washington.
Dr. Macaulay completed his radiology residency and a fellowship in abdominal imaging and MR research at the University of Washington and internship at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and received a bachelor of arts in biology from Whittier College, graduating Summa Cum Laude and ranking first in his graduating class.
Dr. Macaulay has provided multiple scientific presentations, co-authored several book chapters and authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in journals including the American Journal of Radiology, Radiology and the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Dr. Macaulay was chosen by Seattle Met Magazine as one of Seattle's Top Doctors two years in a row.
His professional affiliations include the American College of Radiology, Washington State Radiological Society, Washington State Medical Association, and the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons.
