Kurt P. Schellhas, M.D.
Kurt P. Schellhas, M.D. is National Medical Director of MSC, P.A., is the director of spine intervention and director of the Ambulatory Surgical Center at Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI).
Dr. Schellhas completed a neuroradiology fellowship at University of Minnesota Hospitals. Prior to that, he held a pathology internship at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center and a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital and University of Minnesota Hospitals. Dr. Schellhas received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Schellhas has gained international recognition in two areas of expertise. He published numerous articles on imaging of maxillofacial structures and temporomandibular joint disease states, including the pathogenesis of many facial skeleton deformities. More recently, he has focused his investigation on special diagnostic and therapeutic spinal injection procedures, and has published articles in the journals, Spine, AJNR, as well as recent textbooks. Dr. Schellhasā professional affiliations include the American Society of Neuroradiology and the American Society for Spine Radiology.
