Walk-In Annual Screening Mammograms

Visit our center pages by clicking on the following links for daily walk-in hours at CDI's Ridgedale or West St. Paul locations.
No referral is necessary for a screening mammogram. Most insurances accepted.

Scheduling at CDI

If a walk-in appointment isn't for you, CDI offers two easy ways to schedule your annual mammogram at our convenient outpatient centers in Ridgedale and West St. Paul:

Call 952.738.4444 or Email us (tcsched@cdirad.com)

If you email us, provide your 1) name, 2) date of birth and a 3) private phone number so we know where to reach you to finalize setting up the appointment. Screening mammograms do not require a referral from your doctor. However, at the time of scheduling, you are required to provide your primary care doctor’s contact information so we can share the results with them.

Who should have a mammogram?

The American Cancer Society recommends women 40 years and older have an annual screening mammogram to aid in early detection of breast cancer. If you are under 40 years old, talk to your doctor to see what screening program will work best for you, particularly if you have a personal or family history of breast cancer. Learn more here on what to expect during your screening mammogram.

Have you had a Mammogram in the past?

We’ll make it easy for you to come to CDI by contacting your last provider to get your prior mammogram results; be sure to have your provider name and phone number on hand when you schedule with us. Each year your mammogram images are compared to your last results, so CDI is required to have these results before you have your annual mammogram.

Billing and Insurance Coverage for Screening Mammograms

Most insurance companies cover an annual screening mammogram as part of your preventative care. However, you should contact your provider so you are aware of your personal coverage. If you want assistance, CDI offers Patient Advocates to help you contact your insurance provider prior to your appointment to obtain your specific medical benefits. Our Advocates are here to help you with any questions you have regarding billing, insurance and costs related to medical imaging.

After your appointment, CDI will file your claim with the insurance company for you. If you are paying out of pocket, CDI will work with you to make payment, or set up a payment plan. Please contact our Patient Advocates at 952.541.1111 and let us know how we can help you.
