James D. Coughlan, D.O.
James D. Coughlan, D.O., is a neuroradiologist and interventionalist at Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) in Duluth, Minnesota. He also performs diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures to help patients manage joint and back pain.
Dr. Coughlan has achieved Certificates of Additional Qualifications (CAQ) in neuroradiology and interventional radiology from the American Board of Radiology. He completed two fellowships in neuroradiology and vascular and interventional radiology with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a diagnostic radiology residency with Ohio State University. Dr. Coughlan received his medical degree at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa.
In the course of his career, Dr. Coughlan has been Chief Resident for Ohio State University’s Department of Radiology and served as National Secretary of the American Association of Academic Chief Residents in Radiology. He has published many professional articles and presented numerous lectures in his field. Dr. Coughlan is licensed in Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and Alaska.
