- CDI’s policy is to lightly sedate children 6 years and older only when necessary. If your child is younger than 6 years of age, CDI will call you to discuss your options for the imaging exam.
- The nurses that work with our pediatric patients all follow the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines and standard of care.
- We offer a comfortable sedation process with an ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS-certified (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) medical professional.
- During your pre-screening phone call, our nurse will provide detailed information about the exam, guidelines for light sedation, whether I.V. contrast is needed, eating restrictions, and provide an estimate of the length of the appointment.
- You will receive detailed instructions from a nurse or technologist for returning home after sedation.
- Your child cannot return to school or day care if sedation is used. If you have any questions about our policy after reading this information, please call 952.525.6307.

With CDI, our son was able to get his MRI immediately after his doctor's appointment. More importantly, CDI’s staff made our son feel very comfortable and at ease during the entire process.
