A radiologist is a medical doctor (M.D.) who studies the practice of interpreting medical images via a graduate medical education (residency), which is a minimum of 4 years, completing their medical degree and passing a licensing examination. In the case of our radiologists, they then go on to complete extensive clinical work and related research (fellowship) to specialize in reading medical images for a particular area of the anatomy. This specialization improves clinical proficiency to ensure that you receive accurate results.

In addition, our radiologists also incorporate image-guided pain management procedures into their studies and practice. In fact, combined they have performed thousands of procedures over the past decade. Pain management injections are clinical procedures done in an outpatient setting with minimal downtime. They are often successful on their own, or might assist in relieving your pain enough to have chiropractic adjustments or do physical therapy. Injection procedures can also be used pre-surgery to create a "map" of your pain sites, or post-surgery to help you manage residual pain.

Our radiologists here in St. Cloud and Alexandria are on-site to work with you and the doctor who referred you to us.
