At St. Luke's Women's Center, we understand that you want women’s imaging services that are convenient to you and where your unique needs are recognized and met. That’s why we offer a Breast Care Coordinator to manage and coordinate your needs across the continuum of care for women. From detection of a potential problem, through the process of a diagnostic work-up, to a definitive diagnosis and beyond, our specialty is you.

The Breast Care Coordinator serves as your advocate, navigator and educator, supporting each stage of your breast health experience. She can:
  • Work with you to develop a personalized breast health program
  • Evaluate your risk of developing breast cancer
  • Help you to understand your diagnostic work-up and medical terminology
  • Help you to understand what to expect of any tests, treatments, or procedures
  • Serve as a liaison between you and your team of physicians and care providers
  • Communicate your unique needs and concerns to your team of physicians
  • Assist you to find answers to insurance question

More about our Breast Care Coordinator
Rebecca Tackett, RN, BSN, CBPN-IC, serves as the Breast Care Coordinator for St. Luke’s Women’s Centers, including Midwest Breast Care Center, in Creve Coeur, Missouri. She has been with CDI since 2009, previously serving as the Breast Health Specialist for SSM Imaging in Bridgeton, Missouri.

In her role, Becky manages and coordinates a patient’s needs across the continuum of care. She provides support beginning with community outreach and education to reinforce the importance of screening in the early detection of breast cancer; she acts as a liaison between the referring physician and the patient, serving as the patient’s advocate, navigator and educator, supporting each stage of their unique breast health experience when an abnormality is detected; and finally serves to bridge the breast cancer survivor’s journey back to a state of wellness and recovery.

Becky is currently pursuing her Master’s of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing in St. Louis. She is a Certified Breast Patient Navigator in both breast imaging and breast cancer. Becky graduated from Baptist School of Nursing in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 as valedictorian of her graduating class. She has spent her entire nursing career in oncology with a particular interest in breast cancer prevention, research, treatment and rehabilitation. Her memberships include the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
